Job Title: Accountant Location: Remote with preference based in AL, TN, or GA Employment Type: Direct Hire Industry: Healthcare Compensation: $65K-80K, DOE Schedule: Monday through Friday 7-4 / 8-5 / 9-6 hours



About the Opportunity:

This is a revenue accounting role focused on patient/facility revenue and accounts receivable, making sure financial records are accurate, reconciled, and completed on time. You will analyze financial results and variances, maintain the general ledger, resolve accounting issues, prepare reports, work with stakeholders, and ensure everything follows internal controls and accounting guidelines.

What You'll Do:

• Perform facility related revenue accounting activities within prescribed time schedules and guidelines
• Pro-actively communicate with stakeholders on monthly financial results and answer questions about said results as necessary
• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Perform and summarize variance analysis for patient revenue and accounts receivable, with the goal of becoming a subject matter expert
• Prepare and resolve outstanding issues on assigned account reconciliations
• Field and assess ad-hoc requests, producing clear and concise reports for stakeholders
• Review the work of others for appropriate documentation and accounting guidelines
• Support and drive Team/Company initiatives
• Contribute to the identification/prioritization of business/process solutions and plan/execute testing scripts to validate solutions meet business requirements
• Understand and maintain strict adherence to internal controls over financial reporting

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• 2-4 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting or finance required.
• BS in in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of patient accounting systems and revenue cycle process

What Sets You Apart:

• PeopleSoft Hyperion experience preferred
• Healthcare experience is a plus
