Equiticity is leading two projects, and the Mobility Engagement Lead will work to develop and implement both programs Community Bikeshare Engagement Lead: Equiticity, in partnership with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), Lyft, Divvy, and neighborhood CBOs will launch “Divvy for Everyone: Mobility is Power”, a Divvy 101 ride leader training program to grow bikeshare use and active mobility among low- to moderate-income, predominantly Black and Brown residents on Chicago’s South and West Sides. By centering Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) as hyper-local leads, we bridge the gap between shiny equipment and increased usage. Equiticity will plan and host a series of virtual and in-person workshops, engaging with residents to inform them of the Divvy For Everyone program and helping them register. Equiticity will host a series of ride leader training rides for CBOs. Public Transit Excursions Lead: AARP is partnering with Equiticity to implement the Transit to Thrive public transit excursions series. This series, focused on seniors in the North Lawndale and Bronzeville neighborhoods of Chicago, two majority Black, low-to-moderate income neighborhoods. Transit to Thrive will make our communities more livable for seniors, especially non-driving seniors. These excursions will equip seniors with the skills and confidence they need to use Chicago’s public transit system, expanding their access to medical appointments, healthy food access, cultural/recreational opportunities, and government services – improving their mobility and promoting more successful aging. Equiticity will plan and execute a series of public transit orientations and excursions, engaging older adults in both North Lawndale and Bronzeville. Community Bikeshare Engagement Lead Responsibilities Host two monthly virtual training sessions (12 total, Spring–Fall 2026) covering about Divvy for Everyone (D4E), D4E promotion, D4E signups, ride planning, ride leadership training, and the Community Mobility Rituals philosophy. Host two monthly Divvy station meetups and ride leader trainings (12 total) to build practical competency in system use and group ride safety. Conduct in-person and virtual community outreach to partners and stakeholders to host rides, organize station meetups, implement D4E trainings, and promote Divvy for Everyone (D4E) memberships. Execute a formal, fully documented planning process in partnership with partners for each Divvy engagement event. Implement a comprehensive marketing and outreach strategy, both in person and via Equiticity’s social media channels and email newsletter, for the D4E Mobility is Power project. Host regular planning meetings with partners for each Divvy station meetup and ride leader training rides. Gain overall expertise in the Divvy bikeshare system and the Divvy for Everyone (D4E) program. Provide regularly-scheduled ombudsman services to CBO partners. Develop a D4E toolkit (posters, registration/evaluation forms) to ensure CBO success. Meet virtually and/or in person as needed with the Equiticity President & CEO, Equiticity Interim Senior Director of Impact, community partners, and other stakeholders. Other responsibilities as assigned and pertaining to project deliverables. Public Transit Excursions Lead Responsibilities Plan and host four orientation sessions, two in North Lawndale and two in Bronzeville, engaging with residents and CBOs on safety and other protocols while taking public transit, with the intention of increasing transit literacy for those in attendance. Plan and host four Public Transit Excursions, two in North Lawndale and two in Bronzeville, in full partnership with CBO partners in each neighborhood. Develop partnerships with CBOs in the two neighborhoods of North Lawndale and Bronzeville to market the series and recruit participants. Determine impactful destinations, design useful transit routes and program plans, create support materials, and establish safety protocols. Recruit and train Transit Mobility Ambassadors. Execute a formal, fully documented planning process in partnership with partners for each orientation event and each transit excursion. Host regular planning meetings with partners for each public transit excursion. Meet virtually and/or in person as needed with the Equiticity President & CEO, Equiticity Interim Senior Director of Impact, community partners, and other stakeholders. Other responsibilities as assigned, pertaining to project deliverables. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational experience in a relevant field. Strong event planning and project management skills. Proven, significant experience developing and implementing neighborhood marketing and community outreach strategies. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in managing time effectively and multitasking. Exhibits professional flexibility and resilience while responding effectively to the needs of varied internal and external stakeholders. Proven track record of success with managing a full schedule of multiple events requiring distinct, overlapping planning processes at the same time. Comfortable collaborating with a broad-based coalition of community-based organizations, civic organizations, local businesses, corporations, transit agencies, other government agencies, and neighborhood stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment with a high degree of autonomy, organization, self-direction, and self-motivation. Passion for Equiticity’s vision and mission.
