Director, Psychiatry Marketing External Engagement

AbbVie seeks a Director to lead psychiatry marketing external engagement, regional marketing, and promotional medical education. The role involves setting strategy, developing teams, managing expert relationships, and optimizing cross-functional execution aligned with brand priorities.
Responsibilities
- Establish vision and strategy for psychiatry external engagement, regional marketing, and medical education aligned with brand objectives
- Lead and develop teams responsible for regional marketing, expert engagement, and peer education; set priorities and performance expectations
- Oversee end-to-end advisory board processes including expert identification, contracting, facilitation, and insight translation to strategy
- Direct promotional medical education strategy and execution including speaker programs, broadcasts, and training
- Own integrated budget and resource allocation; ensure disciplined planning, tracking, and investment optimization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
- At least 8 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing experience with progressive leadership
- Proven track record leading teams and developing talent with measurable results
- Experience in external engagement, regional marketing, or peer-to-peer education programs
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical commercialization, compliance, and healthcare professional engagement
- Exceptional executive communication and influence with senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- Significant budget ownership, financial planning, and investment optimization experience
