Asbestos PLM Analyst in Folsom, CA Full-time Compensation: USD 22 - USD 26 per hour Eurofins Scientific is a network of independent companies providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries. Eurofins Built Environment Testing offers Industrial Hygiene (IH) and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) services to protect health in built environments. Services cover tests, including asbestos (PLM/TEM), mold, bacteria, VOCs, allergens, Legionella, radon, lead, silica, and more. Eurofins Built Environment Testing is searching for an experienced Asbestos Analyst in Folsom, CA. Relocation assistance is available for experienced candidates. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for asbestos. Accurately enter and report analytical data using the LIMS. Perform independent data reviews of other analysts’ work. Analyze reference materials, proficiency samples and other quality control samples as needed. Maintain client service and provide technical support as needed. Assist the QA manager in developing, implementing and collecting data for QA processes. Confirm lab results as needed by client services personnel. Complete all analytical testing and quality assurance related tasks as needed. Assist in pursuing, receiving and maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations. Maintain and update training and QA documents onsite as necessary. Coordinate and manage projects according to rush status and due time for timely delivery. Assist co-workers on analytical questions as necessary. Participate in lean initiatives as needed. Follow company policies and procedures and ensure coworkers do the same. Manage and maintain inventory of reusable supply items and laboratory consumables and reorder supplies as needed. Manage and dispose of analyzed samples as needed. Provide training support for relevant analytical services (e.g., mycology, bacteriology, asbestos) as needed. Recommend and coordinate sample transfer as necessary. Establish and maintain laboratory stock culture and reference samples. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for errors and issues as necessary. Maintain all equipment properly and coordinate servicing of all equipment used in the laboratory. Routinely communicate available capacity to Regional Manager. Support other departments within the lab (mycology, asbestos, bacteriology, and others) when appropriate. Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Supervisor/Manager. Qualifications 1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy (2-3 years ideal). Must be able to work in Folsom, CA. Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology or a closely related science. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. Professional working proficiency in English, including ability to read, write and speak. Preferred Qualifications 8 units of Microbiology courses preferred. General regulatory requirements knowledge. Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and databases.Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills. Shift and Compensation Position: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (weekends and overtime as needed). Compensation Range: $22 – $26 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates with PLM asbestos analysis experience.
