Aftermarket Account Manager- HOLT Truck Centers

The Aftermarket Account Manager is responsible for promoting after-market parts and service solutions to an assigned customer base while actively pursuing new business opportunities to expand market share. This role is accountable for achieving sales goals within a designated territory, sustaining current customer relationships, and developing conquest accounts. The individual will work closely with the Regional Aftermarket Sales Manager to execute strategic initiatives and fulfill the business plan.The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; Collaborate with key internal/external resources; Participate in ongoing self-development.Essential FunctionsModels, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and MissionResponsible for the sales and marketing of On-Highway Truck parts and service offeringsProvides comprehensive coverage and support to an assigned customer baseOrganizes and plans daily sales calls, with a target of 5–7 visits per dayConducts in-person visits to all assigned accounts monthlyAdheres to The HOLT Aftermarket Sales Process: Pre-call Planning, Opportunity Identification, Opportunity Investigation, Proposal Presentation, and Business ClosureReceives customer orders, serves as the primary point of contact, and supports education on parts and service programsCollaborates with internal departments to identify and pursue sales leadsSupports the development and maintenance of quality improvement initiatives in safety, operations, financial performance, and customer serviceWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standardsPerforms other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of the On-Highway Truck industry and aftermarket landscapeEffective sales techniques, including prospecting, overcoming objections, and closing salesAbility to build and sustain long-term customer relationshipsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteCritical thinking and analytical skills for problem-solving and decision-makingOutstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational capabilitiesAbility to clearly convey information verbally and in writing to diverse audiencesCompetency in performing mathematical functions such as percentages, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a high-volume environmentAble to interpret technical documents, regulations, and professional literatureAbility to read, write, and understand informationStrong formal presentation skills for both small and large groupsRequirementsEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferredMinimum of one year of relevant work experience required; three or more years of On-Highway Trucking industry experience preferred Minimum of one year of direct sales experience requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:None.Travel: Extensive daily driving within assigned territory Occasional overnight travel Valid state issued Driver’s License required Physical Requirements:This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc. Regular communication with customers and colleagues; must be able to exchange accurate informationFrequent standing, walking, and occasional bending, kneeling, and reachingOccasionally moves or transports items weighing up to 40 lbs. as necessaryRequires use of visual and auditory senses for environmental awareness and safe work executionWork Environment:Primarily field-based with frequent use of company vehicle for customer visitsFrequently works outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and automotive shop environments Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions Disclaimer:Please note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
