Assistant General Counsel - Growth and Project DevelopmentA senior lawyer responsible for supporting all aspects of the development and construction of natural gas-fired power plants, battery storage facilities, solar farms, and carbon capture and sequestration facilities across the United States.Primary duties and accountabilities include:Plan, conduct, and supervise complex legal assignmentsEvaluate legal and business risks and advise clients accordinglyInterpret and apply organizational policy according to lawRepresent the company in agency proceedings and litigationPrepare and revise budgets and early matter assessments involving outside counselProvide leadership to less experienced attorneys and support staffPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum qualifications include:An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions.At least 10-12 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law.Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of the legal field to the completion of complex assignments.Requires excellent legal research, analytical abilities and ongoing knowledge of federal and/or state law.
