Director, Competitive & Strategic Insights, Oncology Lead

Director of Competitive & Strategic Insights for Oncology at AbbVie, leading global competitive intelligence and market analysis for pre-clinical through late-stage oncology assets. The role provides strategic guidance on clinical target profiles, competitive landscape trends, and development decisions across the pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute competitive intelligence plans for oncology indications and emerging mechanisms of action
- Inform clinical target product profiles and support go/no-go decisions for oncology assets
- Track competitor safety, efficacy data, and evolution of standard of care across oncology portfolio
- Advise senior management on competitive intelligence topics and strategic implications for asset development
- Manage CI deliverables, tools, platforms, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient content delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health or life sciences; advanced degree (PhD, PharmD) preferred
- 7-9 years pharma/biotech experience with 3-5+ years in competitive intelligence or market research
- Oncology clinical development or regulatory experience preferred
- Expertise with multiple competitive intelligence methodologies and vendor platforms
- Superior analytical skills with understanding of R&D strategy and operations
- Strong written, oral, and presentation skills with ability to communicate to senior leadership
- Experience in US required; multi-regional experience preferred
