JOB SUMMARY:

The Sr. Social Media & Community Manager will serve as the day-to-day owner of Sky Zone's social presence, bringing our brand to life through engaging content, authentic community interaction, and seamless execution across our owned social channels.

Working closely with the Vice President of Brand & Demand Marketing and Sky Zone's social agency, this role will help execute the social strategy by managing publishing, fostering community engagement, coordinating creator and influencer activations, and ensuring content is delivered consistently across channels. As the internal champion for social, this individual will play a critical role in connecting marketing campaigns, park experiences, and customer conversations to build brand affinity and support demand generation.

The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, understands platform culture, enjoys engaging with online communities, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Social Media Strategy & Planning

• Partner with Brand & Demand leadership and agency partners to develop and evolve Sky Zone’s social strategy in alignment with broader brand, marketing, and business objectives
• Help shape annual and seasonal social plans, including channel roles, audience priorities, content strategy, and key opportunities for the brand
• Translate brand strategy, campaign priorities, and business objectives into clear social priorities and strategic direction
• Bring forward proactive recommendations on emerging platforms, evolving consumer behaviors, and opportunities to strengthen Sky Zone’s social presence and relevance

Content Publishing & Channel Management

• Manage the day-to-day publishing across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging social platforms
• Execute the social content calendar in partnership with Sky Zone's social agency and internal marketing team
• Coordinate publishing schedules, approvals, and asset management
• Ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and optimized for each platform
• Support the execution of seasonal campaigns, promotions, partnerships, and brand initiatives across social channels

Community Management

• Serve as the voice of Sky Zone across owned social channels by monitoring and engaging with comments, direct messages, tags, and brand mentions
• Foster authentic conversations and build meaningful relationships with our online community
• Identify opportunities to encourage user-generated content and guest participation
• Escalate customer service, operational, or reputational issues to the appropriate internal teams
• Help cultivate an engaging, positive brand experience across all social touchpoints

Content Creation

• Capture engaging photo and video content that brings the Sky Zone experience to life across social platforms
• Create and edit social-first content, including Reels, TikToks, Stories, and short-form videos using mobile-first editing tools
• Produce timely, platform-native content that supports campaigns, seasonal promotions, partnerships, and cultural moments
• Partner with the social agency to supplement produced content with authentic, in-the-moment storytelling
• Assist with on-site content capture during events, park visits, creator activations, and brand experiences

Agency & Cross-Functional Partnership

• Serve as the primary day-to-day partner to Sky Zone's social agency
• Collaborate on content planning, campaign execution, creator activations, and reporting
• Coordinate with Brand, Digital, PR, Operations, Partnerships, and Creative teams to ensure integrated execution
• Partner with company-owned parks to support local content opportunities and community engagement

Content Production & Coordination

• Coordinate content requests, approvals, and production timelines
• Work with creators, photographers, videographers, agency partners, and internal teams to facilitate content creation
• Identify opportunities to capture authentic in-park moments that showcase the Sky Zone experience
• Maintain and organize the social content library to support ongoing publishing needs

Creator & Influencer Support

• Coordinate creator visits, influencer activations, and content capture
• Support creator communications, scheduling, logistics, approvals, and deliverables
• Partner with the social agency on creator identification, campaign execution, and content usage
• Help identify opportunities for user-generated content and creator storytelling

Social Listening & Consumer Insights

• Monitor social conversations, audience sentiment, and emerging cultural trends
• Surface actionable consumer insights, recurring questions, and content opportunities to the marketing team
• Identify opportunities for Sky Zone to authentically participate in relevant social conversations
• Share ongoing recommendations to improve engagement, content performance, and community growth

Performance & Reporting

• Monitor channel performance and key social metrics
• Own preparing recurring reports on audience growth, engagement, and content performance
• Provide insights and recommendations based on platform trends and audience behavior
• Support the development of reporting frameworks that measure social's contribution to brand awareness, community engagement, and demand generation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 6-8 years of experience managing social media for a consumer, retail, entertainment, hospitality, lifestyle, or franchise brand
• Deep understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging social platforms
• Experience with community management and social publishing tools such as Social, Sprout Social, etc.
• Experience creating and editing short-form social content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
• Strong understanding of mobile content creation, including composition, lighting, video editing, caption writing, and platform best practices
• Comfortable shooting and editing content using an iPhone or similar mobile device
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of platform trends, short-form video, creator culture, and social best practices
• Experience working collaboratively with agencies and cross-functional teams
• Experience supporting influencer or creator marketing programs·
• Experience with Soci, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Later, Hootsuite, or similar social management platforms
• Experience working in entertainment, hospitality, retail, franchise, or consumer brands·
• Passion for creating engaging content and building online communities

• This position requires the ability to remain stationery, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation range is $105,000-$130,000 + bonus opportunity, based on qualifications, experience, and performance. Eligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
