TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Charlottesville, Virginia, 22903!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required in relevant specialty. License: Active nursing license required. Pending licenses accepted (must be obtained prior to start date). Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Epic experience required. Previous charge experience preferred. Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:4. Experience in telemetry and management of dysrhythmias is essential. Description: This position is for a 12-bed unit caring for patients with various diagnoses. Patients may present with respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, heart failure, sickle cell disease, and cystic fibrosis. The staff will be handling duties related to chest tubes, heparin protocols, insulin titration, tracheostomy care, wound care, and PCA management. The role requires adherence to specific float policies and teamwork with interdisciplinary support staff. Must work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 winter holidays. Time off around major holidays is not approved. Candidates should prepare to float as needed within their scope of practice. Travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days. Education: BSN preferred.
