Senior Electrical Engineer — Embedded SystemsThis is a hands-on technical leadership role for a senior engineer who wants real ownership. You'll drive embedded electronics design — hardware and firmware — across the full product development lifecycle, from early concept through production. You won't be inheriting someone else's architecture. You'll define it.You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams globally (US, China, and beyond), work directly with contract manufacturers, and be the go-to technical authority on electrical and firmware decisions for your programs.What You'll DoLead embedded electronic design from concept to production — schematic capture, PCB layout, firmware (C/ASM), and everything in betweenDefine product electrical and firmware architecture as the technical foundation for global teams and contract manufacturing partnersCoordinate day-to-day engineering tasks to hit prototype milestones for internal reviews and research programsPartner with Engineering and Product Marketing to develop EBOM cost estimates and assess work effort for new initiativesOwn compliance — work with the compliance team to ensure products meet global certification standards for consumer electronicsDevelop clear, thorough hardware and firmware specifications and documentationLead EMI/EMC and compliance issue resolution through rigorous root cause analysisReport program status to global EE leadership and contribute to organizational goal-settingMentor junior engineers and help raise the technical bar across the teamWhat You'll BringBS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)5+ years in embedded hardware and firmware design, with full product development cycles under your beltProven ability to design electronics from scratch — not just adapt existing designsExperience in component selection, system architecture, design verification, and documentationFirmware development for microcontrollers: design, test, and debugFamiliarity with DFM, DFT, and reliability principlesEMI/EMC troubleshooting and compliance resolution experienceStrong communicator — comfortable presenting technical decisions to cross-functional and global audiencesSelf-directed, with the ability to manage your own priorities in a fast-moving environmentNice to Have:Consumer product or consumer goods consulting experienceFamiliarity with compilers, IDEs, JIRA, and SVNExperience working within distributed, multi-site engineering teamsWhy SharkNinjaWe move fast.
