Associate Scientist, Protein Therapeutics API Development - Biologics Therapeutics Development & Supply

Johnson & Johnson

Associate Scientist role focused on process development and manufacturing of large molecule protein therapeutics using cell culture systems. The position involves bioreactor operations, experimental data management, and cross-functional collaboration within a biologics development team in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

Execute cell culture process operations from vial thaw through bioreactor harvest
Record, analyze, and verify experimental data integrity; report findings to project teams
Collaborate with project teams and support functions to achieve program objectives
Provide technical expertise across multiple large molecule development programs
Maintain equipment logs and support resolution of equipment downtime issues

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific discipline; Master's degree preferred
Minimum 1 year experience with cell culture and aseptic techniques
Hands-on experience with large-scale and single-use bioreactor systems
Proficiency with Clean In Place and Steam in Place procedures
Experience with upstream processing of large molecules
Familiarity with ViCell BLU, Metaflex, and OmsoPro analytical equipment
Ability to maintain detailed electronic laboratory notebooks
