Project Director

Position Summary

Responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing electrical Transmission Construction projects to ensure successful completion within established budgets, schedules, and quality standards. This role manages project resources, coordinates internal teams and contractors, oversees contract negotiations, and ensures compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Transmission construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, consultants, and project resources.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and resolve issues impacting project execution.
• Manage scope changes, change orders, contract negotiations, and project risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and business partners.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, company policies, industry codes, and regulations.
• Perform additional project-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience; or 14+ years of experience without a degree.
• Strong knowledge of utility operations, Transmission construction management, and industry practices.
• Proven project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, contractor coordination, and risk management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, and project management software.
