We value proven expertise, professional credentials, and a collaborative spirit as we continue to expand our team.Position SummaryWe are looking for a self-motivated Senior Accountant who can support the firm's management, provide leadership, and guide team members on all aspects of their client work. This role carries significant ownership of client relationships and technical work, with regular opportunity for direct client interaction and consulting.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation and review of C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Trust & Individual income tax returns under the guidance of Client ManagersMust be experienced in making journal entries to generate accurate books and records for clientsBe responsive to clients' needs, recognize client issues, and suggest solutionsResearch accounting and tax topics relating to specific clientsManage multiple projects and meet deadlinesServe as a point of escalation and guidance for less experienced staff on client workAssist with new company initiatives related to supporting programs that improve workplace efficiency and business growthQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of public accounting experience, with progressive experience in tax preparationExperience in tax compliance services for a diverse range of clients is a plusExperience in compilation and bookkeeping is a plusKnowledge of the Thomson Reuters tax/accounting software suite preferred but not required (UltraTax, Fixed Asset CS, Planner CS, Accounting CS, Onvio, and Practice CS)Use of QuickBooks is a plusCPA designation preferred but not requiredSkills & CompetenciesStrong written and verbal communication skills, including directly with clientsAbility to mentor and guide less experienced staffProactive, with strong problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWork Environment & ScheduleFull-time, in-office position based in Columbus, OHOvertime is required to meet tax deadlines — approximately 55–60 hrs/week from March 1 through April 15Observes the firm's holiday scheduleCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experience25 paid days off per year, usable for either sick leave or PTO12 paid holidays & paid firm holidaysComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, with employer and employee contributions401(k) retirement plan with company matchHealth Savings Account (HSA) optionStrong professional training and developmentCommitment to work/life balanceQuestions?Contact Hamze Ahmed, People Operations, at View email address on click.appcast.io with any questions about this posting.
