Human Resources Manager

Independent Services Network, a statewide human services company, is looking for an addition to its management team. The Human Resources Manager will join a group of dynamic individuals and be responsible for leading and managing the full spectrum of human resources functions for a rapid-paced organization. In addition to HR leadership, this position partners with leadership on cross-functional initiatives and special projects that support the company's overall growth and operational success. The ideal candidate is a hands-on human resources leader who combines strong technical HR expertise with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to partner effectively with operational leaders. Responsibilities Lead and manage the full spectrum of human resources functions supporting ISN’s mission and values. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring HR initiatives align with business objectives while fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture. Ensure an exceptional onboarding experience that promotes employee engagement and retention. Advise managers and employees on workplace issues, conflict resolution, and performance concerns. Establish clear expectations, accountability measures, and staff development plans. Administer employee benefits programs and serve as the primary liaison with benefit providers. Maintain and strengthen internal controls over human resources transactions and reporting. Coordinate and support external audits and other human resources reviews. Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture built on trust, accountability, and respect. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Lead/participate in cross-functional projects that support business operations and strategic priorities. Provide administrative and operational support to senior leadership as needed. Take on additional responsibilities and projects based on evolving business needs. Education, Skills, & Abilities Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in human resources or psychology. Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including broad generalist responsibilities is required. Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred. Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands‑on execution. Strong communication skills (written/verbal) and problem‑solving skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations is required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks is required.
