Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference as a Special Education Teacher by supporting students’ diverse needs in a supportive, onsite environment. We’re seeking two dedicated professionals to join the special education discipline for a full-time contract position during the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll work within a dynamic team, fostering an inclusive atmosphere at both a middle and high school setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a valid Kansas Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working in special education within school environments is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to working with students, families, and staff.
• Adaptable and committed to fostering a positive, accommodating learning environment.
• Ability to implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) and use relevant learning strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, specialized instruction to students with varying needs, ensuring all learning objectives and IEP goals are met.
• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and administrators to integrate support strategies.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation on student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as required.
• Provide support during in-school activities and help cultivate a safe, respectful classroom culture.

This is an onsite role serving Emporia Middle School in Emporia, KS, and Northern Heights High School in Allen, KS, from August 19, 2026, to May 20, 2027.
