Required Qualifications:

• Valid Kansas Special Education teaching license
• Previous experience in a middle or high school special education role preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied learning needs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Collaborative approach when working with teachers, administrators, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction across multiple subject areas for students with diverse abilities
• Develop and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring documentation meets regulatory standards
• Work closely with general education teachers and staff to support inclusion and student growth
• Provide direct support and advocacy for students, promoting their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional progress
• Communicate regularly with families to foster ongoing partnerships and support
• Maintain accurate records and participate in professional development to stay current on best practices
