Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a significant impact by supporting students’ growth and success as a Behavioral Specialist working with K-12 populations for the upcoming school year. This rewarding contract role involves providing crucial behavioral and social-emotional supports across multiple districts, collaborating with educators, parents, and staff to foster positive change.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required
• Active Kansas State Teaching License with relevant endorsement
• School-based behavior specialist, BCBA, or related background strongly preferred
• Experience conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and devising Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Ability to deliver training, consultation, and behavior coaching to teachers and staff
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for work with multidisciplinary teams
• Advanced skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
• Preferred: Additional licensure in school psychology, social work, or school counseling

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel (itinerant) between schools within multiple districts to support K-12 students with behavioral and social-emotional needs
• Utilize data-driven approaches to develop and implement effective behavior intervention plans
• Conduct FBAs and monitor plan fidelity and progress
• Collaborate closely with school teams and families to ensure comprehensive support and student success
• Deliver professional development and training for staff around behavior interventions and best practices
• Support crisis intervention efforts and assist with creating proactive prevention strategies
