Intellectual Property Litigation Associate
Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of post-JD experience to join its sophisticated IP Litigation practice. Positions are available in Boston, Denver, New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Washington, DC .
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IP litigator to handle complex patent disputes and work alongside a highly skilled team on sophisticated matters.
Responsibilities- Take and defend depositions and handle motion practice.
- Conduct written and expert discovery.
- Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and other litigation documents .
- Participate in complex patent litigation and develop case strategy.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and clients on sophisticated IP disputes.
- Experience with Inter Partes Review (IPR) and/or ITC proceedings is a plus.
- 3–5 years of post-JD experience in intellectual property litigation.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Experience with depositions, discovery, expert discovery, pleadings, and motion practice .
- Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering preferred.
- Equivalent industry experience in these technical disciplines is a plus.
- Active bar admission and membership in good standing in the jurisdiction where the attorney will be based.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
