Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a skilled Litigation Associate to join its nationally recognized practice. Positions are available in Orange County, and Los Angeles Position Overview
This is a premier opportunity for a mid-level associate (3–6 years of experience) to join an elite litigation team handling complex, high-impact matters across multiple industries and disciplines. The firm’s Trial, White Collar, and Investigations group offers exposure to commercial litigation, white collar defense, financial services, consumer protection, healthcare, IP, and data privacy disputes. Associates collaborate with top-tier attorneys across offices and practice groups.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of litigation, from legal research and discovery to depositions, motion practice, and trial prep
Draft complaints, motions, briefs, and other pleadings with minimal supervision
Participate in witness interviews and conduct/develop deposition strategies
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored litigation strategies to clients across sectors
Handle complex litigation with an emphasis on business and commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, or white-collar defense
3–6 years of litigation experience, preferably including commercial litigation, trial practice, or white collar and investigations
Stellar written, verbal, and analytical skills
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
Judicial clerkship experience is a plus
Active bar membership in California or New York (based on location)
Base salary range: $250,000 – $370,000
Compensation will be based on experience, skills, internal equity, and location
Additional benefits may include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, discretionary bonuses, and other firm-wide programs
