Job Title: Rapid Response RN Profession: RN Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN License Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Required certifications and experience - Positive, flexible, team-oriented, patient-centered personality - Experienced ED RN comfortable with common ED chief complaints and trauma patient care Description: The Rapid Response unit is seeking an experienced RN for a 6-week assignment. This role requires a commitment of 48 hours per week with every other weekend required. Candidates must possess current TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. Procedures performed in this unit include IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, NG tube insertion, and assisting providers with various ED procedures. The unit is equipped with cardiac/vital sign monitors in all patient rooms. RNs and PCTs are responsible for running point of care labs. RNs will manage and adjust respiratory equipment for patients, with assistance available via phone. The patient ratios will vary based on acuity, typically 1:4 or 1:6. This is an opportunity to work in a new facility with modern equipment. Candidates will have the chance to expand their skills with bipap, ventilator equipment, and point of care labs.
