About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 Weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active nursing license Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Required certifications and experience in emergency care. - Positive, flexible, team-oriented, patient-centered personality. - Experience with commonly encountered emergency department chief complaints and trauma patient care. Description: The Rapid Response RN position involves providing care in a fast-paced environment. You will perform IV insertions, Foley catheter insertions, NG tube insertions, and assist providers with various emergency department procedures. The unit has a capacity of 11 beds. Patient ratios are based on acuity, typically 1:4 to 1:6. RNs are responsible for running point of care labs. The position requires setup and adjustment of respiratory equipment for patients, with availability of assistance via phone. The unit is equipped with cardiac/vital sign monitors and all necessary supplies. Documentation is completed using a computerized system. Every other weekend commitment is required, with the possibility of floating to other areas as needed. This role offers opportunities to learn new skills, including operating bipap and ventilator equipment. You will be part of a team that is building a fully staffed environment in a new facility with all new equipment.
