Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 weeks Shift: 13:00 - 01:00 Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experienced ED RN comfortable with most commonly seen ED chief complaints as well as care of the trauma patient. Required certifications and experience. Positive, flexible, team-oriented, patient-centered personality. Description: This position is for a Rapid Response Registered Nurse. The nurse will be responsible for various tasks, including IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, NG tube insertion, and assisting providers with various ED procedures. The unit has a total of 11 beds with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:6 based on acuity. Patient Care Technicians are scheduled mid-shift. RNs and PCTs are responsible for running point of care labs. RNs will set up and adjust respiratory equipment for patients with assistance available via phone. The unit is equipped with cardiac and vital sign monitors in all patient rooms, along with all necessary supplies and equipment. The documentation system in use is Meditech. There is a possibility of floating to other areas as needed. Every other weekend work is required. Frequent admissions occur to the main facility. The new facility features all new equipment. This role provides opportunities to learn new skills, including operating BiPAP and ventilator equipment. The team is in the process of being fully staffed for the unit. The schedule offers 48 hours per week with the requirement to work every other weekend.
