Responsibilities for the role of Bookkeeper:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, data entry, and record maintenance.
- Process invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile financial statements, bank accounts, and general ledgers on a regular basis.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.
- Monitor and maintain petty cash transactions and reconcile them with receipts.
- Prepare and submit timely tax forms and reports as required.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures, including account analysis and journal entries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
Preferred Qualifications for the role of Bookkeeper:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience and strong understanding of the general ledger and debits/credits.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- QuickBooks is a plus
