Business Systems AnalystThe Business Systems Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into functional and system requirements. This role focuses on optimizing business processes, supporting system enhancements, and enabling effective use of enterprise systems to drive business outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirementsTranslate business needs into clear system requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteriaAnalyze existing business processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvementCollaborate with architects, developers, and product owners to design, configure, and implement system solutionsSupport end-to-end system lifecycle activities, including planning, testing, deployment, and post-implementation supportFacilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to align stakeholders on requirements and solution designDevelop and maintain documentation and artifacts such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), and process maps and data flow diagramsCoordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case development and defect triageEnsure solutions align with enterprise standards, data governance, and security policiesAct as a change agent by supporting training, documentation, and user adoption effortsMonitor solution performance and recommend system enhancements based on business feedback and metricsRequired Qualifications2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a similar roleExperience with enterprise platforms such as CRM/Salesforce, ERP, HRIS, or data/reporting systemsStrong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirementsWorking knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and/or SAFe methodologiesAbility to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language (and vice versa)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectivelyPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Visio, or LucidExperience with process modeling (e.g., BPMN), data analysis, or system integrations/APIsAgile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe Agilist) or business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA)Core CompetenciesStakeholder managementRequirements elicitation and documentationProcess optimizationSystems thinkingData-driven decision-makingCollaboration across business and technology teamsCompensation & BenefitsPowerSchool offers the following benefits:Comprehensive Insurance Coverage (including Medical, Dental, Vision, Pharmacy benefits, Life Insurance and AD&D)Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings AccountsShort-Term Disability and Long-Term DisabilityComprehensive 401(k) planGenerous Parental LeaveUnrestricted paid time off (known as Discretionary Time Off - DTO)Wellness Program, including ClassPass & Employee Assistance ProgramTuition ReimbursementOptional Benefits: Pet Insurance, Identity Theft Protection, Student Debt Repayment Program and Prepaid Legal coverageA reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $67,000 - $83,800 USD.
