Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered, RT PEDS. This position provides respiratory care for neonatal, adult, and geriatric patients, with an emphasis on critical care and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) services. The role includes airway management, ventilator support, respiratory assessments, and collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
• Assignment Dates: 11/16/2026 through 02/15/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Two years of respiratory therapy experience; Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and critical care experience; valid compact state license in hand; Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Provide neonatal and critical care respiratory services, including airway management, intubation assistance, extubation support, tracheostomy care, mechanical ventilation, continuous positive airway pressure support, high-flow nasal cannula therapy, suctioning, arterial blood gas interpretation, pulmonary hygiene, and neonatal transport support.
• Schedule Requirements: Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, and block scheduling is required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position may float between units and includes an expected patient ratio of 1:15. Patient populations include neonates, adults, and geriatric patients.
