Salary: $185,000–$220,000 annually

The Opportunity

Our client is an established, full-service engineering, architectural, and geospatial consulting firm serving federal, state, municipal, and private-sector clients. The firm has earned a strong reputation for technical excellence, personal service, and long-standing client relationships.

They are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work alongside architectural, mechanical, and structural teams. This position will lead electrical design and construction administration for complex building and infrastructure projects, including facilities pursuing LEED and Net Zero Energy standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for power distribution, lighting, telecommunications, and related building systems
• Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection
• Provide construction administration throughout project delivery
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients
• Manage project resources, schedules, and budgets
• Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building, electrical, and fire codes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• Active Professional Engineer registration in at least one state
• Ability to obtain PE reciprocity in additional states
• 15+ years of electrical design and construction administration experience with a consulting firm
• Experience mentoring junior team members
• Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit experience preferred
• Experience with VisualPro, AGI32, or SKM PowerTools preferred
• Military, justice, or water-treatment facility experience is a plus
• LEED or Green Globes project experience is a plus
