We’re looking for an experienced carpenter / construction professional who is ready to move into a Project Manager role. This is not a desk job for someone who only knows construction from paperwork. We want someone who has been on real jobs, knows what good work looks like, understands how crews move, and can spot problems before they become bigger problems.

If you’ve been the guy everyone looks to on the job site anyway, this may be the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for running residential construction projects from start to finish, including dormers, extensions, kitchens, bathrooms, renovations, and new home projects.

That means:

• Managing day-to-day job site operations
• Keeping crews and subcontractors moving
• Reading plans and understanding what needs to happen next
• Making sure materials, tools, and manpower are lined up
• Checking quality of work
• Solving problems in the field
• Communicating with homeowners, office staff, sales/design, and crews
• Keeping jobs on schedule
• Making sure the job is clean, organized, and moving in the right direction

You won’t be expected to frame walls all day or hang cabinets all week, but you do need to know when something is right and when something is wrong.

What We Need From You

• Strong residential construction knowledge
• Carpentry background strongly preferred
• Ability to understand dormers, extensions, kitchens, bathrooms, and remodeling work
• Ability to read blueprints/plans
• Ability to perform material takeoffs
• Good communication skills
• Ability to manage crews and subcontractors
• Ability to stay organized and keep jobs moving
• Strong attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to learn our process and represent Shells Only professionally

Previous project management experience is a plus, but we are open to training the right person if you have the construction knowledge and leadership ability.
