Requirements

• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy - Required
• Proof of current CPR certification - Required
• Current driver's license - Required
• Must have reliable transportation and insurance - Required
• 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant - Required
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy - Required

Responsibilities

• Administers the physical therapy treatment plan developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Performs non-complex active and passive therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and various modalities for patients.
• Documents clients' status accurately and in a timely manner.
• Attends educational meetings and contributes to department training sessions.
• Notifies supervisors of any equipment failures or departmental changes.
• Handles scheduling and various office tasks.
• Follows infection control and universal precautions during patient care.
• Accepts clinical assignments based on education and competence.
• Promotes compliance with third-party payors through education and assistance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
