As part of the larger Creative Services team, we’re responsible for bringing the brand to life and creating best-in-class marketing across catalog, site, email, and performance channels. From seasonal campaigns to product storytelling, we translate big ideas into engaging copy that inspires and informs. We work across channels to ensure our brand voice cuts through at every customer touchpoint. About The Role As a Junior Copywriter, you’ll support the development of editorial content across our digital and performance channels, with opportunities to contribute to print and in-home content as well. You’ll partner closely with editorial leadership, design, and cross-functional teams to translate creative briefs into elevated, engaging copy that is consistent with the Pottery Barn brand voice. This is an opportunity for a developing copywriter to build experience across a range of marketing channels while learning from an experienced editorial team. You’ll contribute to multiple projects and campaigns, receive feedback and guidance, and progressively take on greater ownership of copy assignments. Key Responsibilities Craft on-brand copy for digital and performance assets, including site, email, paid marketing, and other customer-facing channels. Develop compelling headlines, body copy, calls to action, product storytelling, and campaign messaging that align with creative briefs and business objectives. Support seasonal campaigns and marketing initiatives from concept through final execution. Collaborate with designers, editorial leadership, and cross-functional partners to develop cohesive creative. Adapt voice, tone, and messaging appropriately across channels and audiences while maintaining consistent brand standards. Edit and proof copy and perform final QA on deliverables to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and attention to detail. Manage multiple copy assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Contribute to print collateral and in-home content as opportunities arise. Qualifications & Experience 2+ years of copywriting experience, preferably within a retail, agency, lifestyle, or brand creative environment. Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Portfolio demonstrating strong copywriting and editing skills across digital and/or marketing channels. Strong understanding of how to adapt voice and tone across different audiences, channels, and marketing objectives. Ability to translate a creative brief into clear, compelling, and on‑brand copy. Excellent writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Collaborative mindset and openness to creative feedback and direction. Familiarity with adapting print editorial concepts and content to digital platforms. Passion for design, home, lifestyle, and the Pottery Barn brand is a plus! The expected starting pay range for this position is $60,000-$75,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
