Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students near Bloomfield, NJ as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist. This critical role covers a maternity leave through November (with possible extension), collaborating with a diverse K-12 caseload. Your impact will be immediate and lasting, as you'll work with approximately 35 students individually, with additional Early Intervention students anticipated.

A strong background with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is especially valuable, as the school community embraces a range of communication needs. You’ll conduct assessments, deliver evidence-based interventions, and participate in IEP meetings, fostering each student’s progress in communicative abilities.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold all required certifications for school-based SLP roles—absolutely required to move forward
• Valid fingerprint clearance on file
• Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience
• Skilled in evaluating and treating a variety of speech and language disorders
• Background in Early Intervention and familiarity with AAC devices preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to collaborative team environments and diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual therapy to a dynamic caseload of students
• Complete comprehensive speech/language evaluations
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and help create tailored goals
• Develop and implement communication strategies, including AAC when appropriate
• Liaise with teachers, families, and school teams to support student success
• Maintain accurate documentation as required by district and state guidelines
