Shape the next generation of communicators as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary students in a vibrant educational environment. This full-time contract opportunity will have you working 35 hours per week from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, beginning September 4th and continuing through June 25th. You’ll have a dedicated role serving an elementary caseload, providing therapy, assessments, and evaluative services that make a daily impact.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure for New Jersey is required
- Previous experience working as a school-based SLP, managing an academic caseload
- SLP-CCC certification preferred to ensure independent responsibility for services
- Comfort navigating district processes and school environments
- Reliable transportation and close proximity for daily commute
- Ability to promptly complete mandated onboarding: TB test, physical, and fingerprinting as required by agency and district
- Please note: Clinical Fellowship Year (CF) and SLPA candidates cannot be considered due to supervision limitations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to elementary students in a school setting
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with fellow educators, school administrators, and families to support student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely completion of required paperwork
- Deliver services in accordance with district protocols and compliance standards
- Engage in a 15-minute interview as part of the selection process
