Job Overview Date Posted: 2026-06-22 Country: United States of America Location: US-MA-MARLBOROUGH-MA1 ~ 1001 Boston Post Rd ~ BLDG 1 Position: Onsite – Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety (RMS) Engineer (Collins Aerospace, Raytheon Technologies) U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. This role supports program lifecycle through the application of reliability, maintainability, and safety techniques from development to disposal. Responsibilities Participate in all phases of the program life cycle using reliability and maintainability methodologies in accordance with military standards (MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-HDBK-338B, MIL-HDBK-470, MIL-STD-1629A). Provide input for FMECA, reliability & maintainability analyses, reliability critical items list, and FRACAS. Perform hazard analysis on complex systems per MIL-STD-882E. Track, propose, and mitigate system hazards at various stages of a program. Conduct reviews of safety and human factors concerns internally and externally. Facilitate safe and usable systems through participation in design reviews. Review specifications and Statement of Work (SOW) to identify system safety and human factors requirements. Review, monitor, and track hazardous materials (e.g., NAS-411) and necessary mitigations. Support compliance audits that demonstrate adherence to internal processes and procedures on programs. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field. Experience with Microsoft Office software suite. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a government‑issued security clearance (DoD Secret). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Human Systems Integration and Human Factors Engineering. Experience with RF‑based communication systems. Experience with reliability and maintainability predictions. Familiarity with military standards such as MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-HDBK-338B, MIL-HDBK-470, MIL-STD-1629A, MIL-STD-1472. Salary & Benefits Salary Range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD. This range is a good faith estimate and may vary based on experience, location, and funding decisions.
