Accounts Payable Manager

An established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high-volume AP function and oversee a team responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient payment operations. This leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys driving process improvements, developing teams, and leveraging technology to optimize financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and compliance with internal controls.
  
• Manage, mentor, and develop AP leadership and staff while monitoring performance metrics to improve efficiency and service levels.
  
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, reporting enhancements, AI-driven solutions, and process optimization.
  
• Partner with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment issues, support month-end close activities, audits, and other financial projects.
  

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including at least 6 years in a management or leadership role within a high-volume environment.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills with a proven ability to improve operational performance.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  
• Experience with ERP and AP systems such as Coupa and Prophet 21 (P21) is preferred, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  

Location: NW Houston - ONSITE M-F
Salary: $120K - 130K (possible flex)(depending on experience)
