Senior Cost Accountant

Cost AccountantCentury Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $100,000 to $128,000 per year.Job Responsibilities:Manage cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, product costing, and financial analysis.Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules related to inventory, fixed assets, and operating costs.Review and analyze cost variances to identify trends and improve financial accuracy.Support audit activities, compliance initiatives, and reporting requirements through preparation of documentation and schedules.Monitor capital expenditures, asset activity, and other cost related transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.Requirements:A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.5+ years of cost accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting principles.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.Authorization to work in the United States in accordance with applicable regulations.Qualifications:Previous experience working in medium to large organizations with complex accounting operations.Familiarity with ERP systems and fixed asset management software.Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and audit support processes.
