About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: Two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS - AHA only required Must-Have: Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to clearance to start Description: The position requires night shifts with 12-hour schedules from 18:30 to 07:00. Weekend rotation is necessary, and shifts will include every other holiday. The unit will consider 4x12 schedules and assignments of up to 26 weeks if the traveler is interested. A minimum of two years of Emergency Department experience with both adult and pediatric populations within the last three years is required. The following certifications must be held: BLS, PALS, and ACLS from AHA only. The traveler must successfully pass a telemetry exam before beginning the assignment. Strong skills in arterial line management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients are preferred. Experience with phlebotomy and triage is essential. Travelers may be required to float as needed. Additional responsibilities may include outreach to interdisciplinary support services and the management of critical patient cases. It is important that all clinical practices adhere to established safety protocols. The role also involves conducting assessments and monitoring vital signs consistently. Performance metrics, such as barcode scanning adherence, may affect extension eligibility. Candidates should review and prepare for designated examinations regarding rhythm interpretation. Failure to meet testing criteria may result in cancellation of the assignment. The position contributes to delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. Expectations also include thorough documentation and maintaining effective communication with the healthcare team.
