About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years. License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS - AHA ONLY required. Must-Have: Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Description: This position involves night shifts with a schedule of 18:30 to 07:00. Weekend rotation is included, along with every other holiday. The unit is open to considering both 4x12 schedules and assignments of up to 26 weeks. Applicants must possess two years of Emergency Department experience with both adult and pediatric patients within the past three years. A valid RN license is required along with BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications from AHA only. The traveler must successfully pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. All staff are expected to participate in patient care for a daily census of approximately 70. The unit will handle typical emergency room diagnoses, including Level 1 traumas. Special equipment and skills necessary for this role include various types of patient management and procedural skills. The traveler will be required to float as needed. Minimum experience mandates two years of acute care experience within the last three years. All candidates must meet strict passing criteria on the telemetry exam to be eligible for the position. Candidates will have two attempts to pass with specific requirements outlined for adult and pediatric assessments. If unsuccessful after two attempts, candidates must complete a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt is scheduled. Failure to pass after three attempts will result in assignment cancellation.
