Project Manager II

Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for the scheduling and financial reporting of client programs. The Project Manager tracks each applicable stage throughout its lifecycle and makes sure that critical information is shared among the cross functional teams and leadership. Managers lead multiple moderate-to-high complexity programs. They operate independently and communicate effectively when risks or issues arise. Primary Responsibilities Effectively leads internal and external core team meetings independently. Executes all program lifecycles stages effectively – initiation, planning, execution, and close. Uses project management principles to ensure all aspects of the project are covered – scope, schedule, budget, communication, quality, resources, and risk. Owns the critical path and leads escalations. Communicates with stakeholders, provides regular updates, and manages expectations. Drives recovery plans when issues occur. Strikes the right balance between client and business interests. Displays cross-functional influencing skills. Identifies change requests and writes change orders. Education, Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree, preferable in science, engineering or operations/supply chain 6 - 10 years of relevant drug development CMC experience, preferably in gene therapy or biotherapeutics. Experience in Project Management. Experience in leading a matrix team organization. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, PowerPoint, etc.).
