Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant, you will engage in a range of activities critical to patient care:

• Provide advanced practitioner care to orthopaedic patients under the supervision of a specialty physician, including diagnostic, therapeutic, procedural, and preventative care.
• Perform comprehensive examinations, interpret radiology reports, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Take patient histories, write prescriptions, order necessary therapies, and assist during surgical procedures to enhance patient health outcomes.
• Manage comprehensive patient care at various stages of the orthopaedic experience, which encompasses inpatient service, consultations, pre-procedural care, procedural interventions, and post-procedure follow-up in both the hospital and outpatient settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopaedic patients requiring specialized care. You will interact with individuals of varying ages, from athletes recovering from injuries to older adults with chronic conditions affecting mobility. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that all patients receive optimal, empathetic, and individualized care throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

• A Master's degree or PhD from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant and national certification.
• DEA Certificate obtained within three months of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sound judgment to meet patient needs effectively.
• One year or more of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an orthopaedic specialty is required.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum qualifications provide a solid foundation, candidates with the following experience will be given preference:

• Recent clinical experience with orthopaedic procedures and wound care.
• Experience in managing urgent referrals from the community.
• Ability to learn and assist in surgical operations under the supervision of the attending orthopaedic surgeon.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 160,000 annually, augmented by performance-based bonuses.
