Work Environment

This role is set within our busy on-site facility, where a robust support team and state-of-the-art medical technology create an ideal environment for delivering superior care. The clinic operates under a structured schedule, typically from Monday to Friday, with weekday shifts beginning at 5:00 PM. You will work closely with our nursing staff, physicians, and other allied health professionals in a positive, team-oriented atmosphere that focuses on high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through detailed examinations and thorough reviews of medical histories and records.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute health issues and coordinate appropriate interventions.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans for chronic health conditions, incorporating the most current medical practices.
• Prescribe medications and regularly monitor treatment effectiveness, adjusting plans as necessary for optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records and healthcare plans in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Provide education and support to patients and families concerning disease prevention, treatment options, and health management strategies.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care among patients through engaging discussions and informative sessions.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, contributing to research and training programs to enhance clinical knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Urgent Care Clinic serves a diverse patient population, ranging from children to older adults, presenting with non-life-threatening conditions requiring immediate care. You will encounter a broad spectrum of cases—from minor injuries and illnesses to more complex presentations—and will be instrumental in bridging gaps in access to care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant studies or relevant field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant, ideally in urgent care, emergency, or primary care settings.
• Current Physician Assistant licensure (PA-C) in New Jersey and a valid DEA number.
• Sound knowledge of healthcare regulations and commitment to ethical practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and medical staff.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations with a calm and collected demeanor.
• Willingness to pursue continuous learning and professional development in clinical practices.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
