Mary Mediclinic and Physical Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Pain Management Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team in Morristown, New Jersey. In this full-time role, you will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a surgical center environment, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions.

Work Environment

Working onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center, you will be part of a collaborative team of 5 physicians and 5 nurse practitioners. The center offers a high-paced and patient-centered environment where your contributions will directly impact the lives of individuals struggling with pain-related issues. Your daily hours will be 40, Monday through Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM, allowing for a well-structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and review patients' medical histories to assess health statuses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including blood tests and X-rays, facilitating accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses while developing targeted treatment plans for both acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medication and therapies, managing ongoing treatment regimens for optimal patient health outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient interactions, treatments, and follow-up care to ensure continuity in healthcare delivery.
• Inform patients clearly about their diagnoses, treatment options, and the management of their health conditions.
• Educate patients and family members about various health issues, preventive practices, and wellness strategies.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals and participate actively in team meetings and case discussions.
• Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices in pain management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, primarily dealing with individuals seeking pain relief from chronic conditions, post-operative pain, and various musculoskeletal issues. Your role not only involves clinical assessments but also patient education and support, helping them navigate their recovery journey effectively.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• Current and valid Physician Assistant license in the State of New Jersey.
• PA-C certification and an active DEA number.
• Strong background in primary care or relevant specialties such as acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, or family health.
• Exceptional communication skills, strong ethics, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated patience, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for patient advocacy and education.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in a relevant healthcare setting.
• Experience in pain management or rehabilitation services is highly desirable.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus, enhancing communication with a broader patient demographic.

Compensation and Benefits
