Work Environment

This position is based onsite in a hospital setting, providing you with access to state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive healthcare community. You will work Monday through Friday for 40 hours a week, with the workday concluding at 5:00 PM. This schedule allows for a balanced work-life setup while maintaining a consistent focus on patient care and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient medical histories to accurately assess their health status.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, to guide treatment decisions.
• Diagnose a wide range of health conditions, particularly those related to pain management, and create tailored treatment plans.
• Prescribe necessary medications and treatments, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting all interactions and treatment decisions in alignment with clinic protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices through counseling and health education initiatives aimed at prevention and wellness.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, share insights, and elevate the standard of care provided.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and research to enhance clinical skills and contribute to the body of knowledge in pain management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on managing patients suffering from chronic pain, acute injuries, and a variety of overlapping health concerns. This diverse patient population presents unique challenges and requires a tailored approach to treatment that blends both medical and therapeutic interventions. You will work closely with individuals of all ages, helping them regain control over their pain and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a Physician Assistant designation.
• Current and valid Physician Assistant license in New Jersey.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a valid DEA number.
• Strong foundations in clinical knowledge and patient care protocols.
• Outstanding communication skills, enabling effective patient education and collaboration with the medical team.
• Commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care, ensuring the best outcomes for our patients.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a clinic, hospital, emergency room, or relevant healthcare setting.

• Advanced understanding of patient care regulations and compliance in healthcare.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged, though not required, as we serve a diverse community.

Compensation and Benefits

The Pain Management Physician Assistant role offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
