This is a full-time position focused on pain management within a surgical center, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating various health conditions while promoting preventative health practices. Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center in Morristown, NJ. Here, you’ll work a 40-hour week, typically Monday through Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. Our facility is equipped with cutting-edge medical technology and tools necessary for effective diagnosis and treatment, providing a conducive environment for both patients and staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain comprehensive patient histories.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies such as X-rays, to inform treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage chronic pain conditions and illnesses, implementing individualized treatment strategies.
• Prescribe medications as needed, ensuring the best possible therapeutic outcomes for patients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting examinations, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive and cohesive treatment plans.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices and preventative care practices to patients of varying backgrounds.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and research to continually enhance clinical skills and expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Pain Management Physician Assistant at our facility, you will primarily serve patients experiencing chronic pain, ranging from musculoskeletal issues to post-surgical recovery. Our patient demographic includes diverse age groups and backgrounds, requiring a tailored approach to care that respects individual needs and preferences. Your role will significantly impact their health outcomes as they navigate their pain management journeys.

Qualifications

• Valid Physician Assistant license in New Jersey.
• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• Current PA-C certification required.
• DEA registration must be up to date.
• Proven hands-on experience as a Physician Assistant in a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in managing pain and chronic disease.
• Strong knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations and patient safety standards.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to professional development and exemplary patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized experience in pain management, primary care, acute care, or chronic care settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
