Work Environment

Our clinic operates onsite within a state-of-the-art surgical center, equipped with the latest technology to support various treatment modalities. You will work Monday to Friday, with a standard 40-hour work week, concluding at 5:00 PM. Team collaboration is emphasized, allowing you to work closely with five physicians and five nurse practitioners, ensuring a well-rounded and supportive environment for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient medical histories to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including blood work and imaging studies such as X-rays.
• Develop treatment plans for chronic and acute conditions, considering both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic options.
• Prescribe medications and manage patient medication regimens with a focus on evidence-based practices.
• Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
• Engage in patient education, informing them about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices through counseling and community outreach initiatives.
• Stay current with advancements in pain management strategies and contribute to professional discourse and research within the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, ranging from individuals suffering from chronic pain conditions to those seeking preventive care. You will play a crucial role in addressing various pain management issues, employing both traditional and innovative treatment approaches. Your ability to build rapport and trust with patients is essential to facilitate open communication and adherence to treatment plans.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies preferred.
• Possession of a valid New Jersey State Physician Assistant license and PA-C certification.
• DEA registration is mandatory to prescribe controlled substances.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ethics in patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing positively to a supportive work atmosphere.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting, with specific expertise in primary care and acute care practices.
• Prior experience in pain management or related specialties, such as internal medicine, will be highly regarded.
• Bilingual capabilities are an asset but not a requirement.

Compensation and Benefits
