Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations, to identify dermatological conditions accurately.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, enabling the development of effective treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Formulate and implement both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment protocols for varied skin diseases and conditions.
• Regularly monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans through follow-up appointments, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on managing skin conditions, treatment options, and preventive health behaviors to foster informed decision-making.
• Perform medical procedures as permitted by your privileges and training, including biopsies and minor surgical interventions.
• Document all patient encounters and treatment details meticulously within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in collaborative practice by consulting with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Participate in initiatives aimed at improving patient care quality and meeting payer performance measures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily comprises individuals seeking treatment for a wide array of dermatological concerns, including but not limited to eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin infections, and dermatological cancers. You will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups, tailoring your approach to meet their specific needs and concerns.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program is required.
• A current certification as a Physician Assistant in the state of New Jersey and valid CPR certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in a clinical care setting as a Physician Assistant is essential.
• Proficiency in using standard office equipment, including computers, is necessary for efficient operation within the EMR system and other tools.
