Deal Advisory Managing Director

Overview

Cherry Bekaert seeks a Managing Director to lead the Deal Advisory practice, overseeing complex M&A activities for private equity clients and strategic corporations across the U.S. and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Deal Advisory team to deliver high‑quality transaction advisory services.
• Provide leadership within the practice, including coaching, mentoring, professional development, and performance feedback.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to drive business growth and secure new engagements.
• Oversee the execution of complex deals, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry standards.
• Collaborate with other leaders to integrate services and leverage cross‑functional expertise.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to provide strategic insights and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and ethical standards in all advisory engagements.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Contribute to the firm’s strategic planning and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance or related business discipline.
• 15+ years within a professional services discipline, with 10+ years of direct experience in Financial Due Diligence.
• Advanced degree or relevant professional certification such as CPA or CFA preferred.
• Strong GAAP, data analysis/mining, and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated experience working with Private Equity groups.
• Willingness to travel as needed (expected <15%).
