Armed Security Guard- Flex

We are seeking a Flex Armed Security Officer with open availability to work on an as-needed basis. Candidates must be able to accept assignments on short notice and be willing to travel to multiple locations, including Springfield, Holyoke, Greenfield, Pittsfield, and North Adams. Qualified candidates must possess a valid Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC), provide their own Massachusetts-compliant firearm and duty belt, and have prior security experience. Applicants must also demonstrate strong communication and de-escalation skills and be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have reliable transportation.

Job Summary:

• Maintain the security and safety of the assigned site through regular patrols
• Actively enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Respond to emergency situations and provide security assistance
• Engage with the public to offer assistance and directions
• Monitor closed-circuit television for potential issues

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain a physical presence within the facility as a visible deterrent to illegal activity
• Provide superior customer care to enhance the facility's atmosphere
• Keep accurate logs and write detailed incident reports
• Prevent unauthorized access to the area and items within

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be 21 years old
• Must have valid armed license where required
• Strong commitment to the well-being of others
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using computer systems and applications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of related experience
• Active Armed Security license
• Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing for up to 4 hours
• Foot patrol and ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Must stay alert at all times
