Staff Accountant | Growing Manufacturing Company | Lake County
A well-established international manufacturing company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This role offers excellent visibility across the business and the opportunity to develop expertise in general accounting, accounts receivable, month-end close, financial reporting, and project cost analysis within a dynamic manufacturing environment
What You'll Do
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, cash application, customer accounts, and credit memos.
- Handle credit reviews, collections, and customer credit management activities.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and support month-end and year-end close.
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis.
- Learn and apply manufacturing cost accounting principles.
- Analyze project costs and provide meaningful reporting to support business decisions.
- Support inventory cycle counts and maintain strong internal controls.
- Collaborate with customers and internal departments to resolve accounting issues.
What We're Looking For
✅ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
✅ 1-3 years of accounting experience
✅ Experience with accounts receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries
✅ Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems
✅ Excellent communication skills and a desire to learn and grow
✅ Manufacturing or distribution experience is a plus, but not required
