Work Environment\n

This role is fully remote, offering you the opportunity to work from the comfort of your home while being a part of an esteemed health system. You will maintain a flexible work schedule predominantly from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional evening shifts may be necessary based on the needs of our patients. This flexible arrangement allows you to balance your professional and personal commitments effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of older adults, ensuring consideration of their unique medical, cognitive, and emotional needs.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect the complexities of geriatric psychiatry, integrating evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, family therapy, and supportive counseling to effectively manage conditions such as depression, anxiety, and dementia-related disorders.

• Collaborate with our team of geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver a holistic and integrated approach to mental health care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and ongoing support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of elderly patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their mental health journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development to refine skills and adhere to best practices in geriatric mental health.

• Stay current with the latest research and developments in geriatric psychiatry to continuously improve your clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on the geriatric population, addressing a range of mental health concerns specific to older adults. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California, with a thorough understanding of relevant regulations.

• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions in geriatric mental health settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
