In this role, you will deliver high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography services in an outpatient imaging setting, supporting ERMI's commitment to clinical excellence and exceptional patient care.About the RoleAs a Mammography Technologist, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate, high-quality breast imaging while providing a supportive experience for patients. This is a hands-on clinical role in a collaborative outpatient environment where technologists work closely with radiologists and clinical leadership to maintain the highest standards of care.Responsibilities include:Prepare and position patients for screening and diagnostic mammography proceduresExplain procedures clearly to reduce patient anxiety and ensure cooperationOperate mammography equipment and determine appropriate exposure factors to produce high-quality imagesPractice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staffPerform imaging on modern Hologic mammography systems, including 3D tomosynthesis.Image Quality & Compliance:Review images for proper identification, positioning, and quality control prior to radiologist interpretationPerform Quality Assurance and quality control testing as required by MQSAAssist with MQSA inspections and maintain compliance documentation in accordance with MQSA, FDA, and New York State regulationsEquipment & Workflow Support:Perform routine equipment checks; identify, diagnosis malfunctions, conducts and/or arranges maintenance and repair needs.Prepare images and documentation for radiologist review.Collaborate with radiologists, sonographers, and leadership to support efficient patient flow.Why ERMI?At ERMI, we offer a supportive, collaborative culture where excellence and compassion go hand in hand.
