Your responsibilities The Head of Logistics is the leader of the Logistics team at thyssenkrupp Dynamic Components. The role directly manages the team, ensures support and resources are available, and coordinates efforts to support internal and external customers. Responsibilities include leading a team dedicated to excellence through process control, root‑cause identification, supplier excellence and customer satisfaction. Lead direct material planning, production planning, warehousing, shipping & receiving, transportation and inventory management functions. Ensure compliance with U.S. CB&P regulations, maintain harmonized tariff codes, and report required for Foreign Trade Zone. Support the TK Production System and synchronous material flow through lean manufacturing practices. Manage personnel and functions, assign tasks to team members per individual job descriptions. Coordinate with other staff to establish and execute short‑term and long‑term goals as defined by the business plan. Review and improve supply‑chain procedures to meet short‑ and long‑term goals. Maintain frequent contacts with suppliers and partners in ThyssenKrupp Presta Ilsenburg and Liechtenstein to ensure accurate information flow. Support and coordinate any supply‑chain interruptions of inbound or outbound traffic, carriers, customs and forwarders. Maintain a 12‑month rolling forecast and participate in the annual operative planning process (OPL). Ensure all master data, upstream and downstream, are accurate and up to date. Maintain certification requirements such as NAFTA/AALA certificates for all customers. Participate in supply‑chain synergies meetings within TKNA and coordinate activities as directed by executive management. Deploy, integrate and continuously optimize Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) within plant logistics flow. Own and maintain the plant‑level trade compliance framework, including sanctions screening, import/export controls and country‑of‑origin determination. Proactively monitor tariff developments, assess financial impact and implement mitigation strategies with relevant stakeholders. Lead logistics readiness for the SAP S/4HANA migration, ensuring master data integrity and process mapping during and after go‑live. Supervisory responsibility Manages subordinate supervisors and/or team members in the Logistics Department. Qualifications Preferred bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent field; over 5 years of experience in the automotive industry or a similar sector.
